Erie, Pa. (WJET/WFXP) — Three Erie-based companies have placed on the 43rd Inc. 5000, one local company making its debut, landing within the top 1,500 in the nation.
The Inc. 5000 ranks the nation’s fastest-growing private companies amid pandemic, inflation, and supply chain woes. The companies are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2020 through 2023.
Starting with the company placing 4,917, Logistics Plus. Logistics Plus, the Erie-based global logistics company, has seen a 76% 3-year growth. This is the company’s 9th time appearing on the Inc. 5000 list. The company was founded by its owner and CEO Jim Berlin in 1996, it has now grown into a $500 million global powerhouse employing over 1,200 employees across 50+ countries.
Federal Resources Corporation (FRC) saw its 5th consecutive year on the list, placing 2,202 in the nation. Federal Resources Corporation is an IT company based out of Erie, founded in 1998. FRC saw a 3-year growth rate of 237%. The company says that this demonstrates a “robust performance in the highly competitive industries of Federal Cybersecurity and the procurement of GSA and SEWP contracts.”
However, one Erie-based company secured a spot within the top 1,500 in the nation, and this is their first time ever appearing on the list.
Rust Belt Business Law was placed as the 1,417th fastest-growing private company in the nation. The law firm was founded in 2010 and helps small businesses with legal issues such as corporate matters, contracts, employment issues, and mergers and acquisitions. The law firm not only secured the spot on the national list but was also placed in the Regionals Northeast as the 114th fastest-growing private company in the Northeast region. The company has seen a rapid three-year growth of 364%, which they say speaks volumes about their team’s hard work, dedication, and innovative approach to business law.
